I just found out this evening that my swapadvd wish came true. I'm getting The Bicycle Thief.
err, if you happen upon this clip and plan to watch the whole film some day, don't view it - it will give away the ending.
Watching this again, the first time in many years, I am struck by the power in these last eight minutes. Very little dialogue - the events unfold on the faces of the father and son. Heartbreaking.
